This "unbearable" event is a unique opportunity to show your bravery as you support local Special Olympics athletes by plunging into the frigid winter waters. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Missouri. SOMO exists to provide year-round sports and training opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and our athletes need you to get involved. Become a coach, volunteer, recruit a future athlete and learn how you can make a difference!

Participants must be at least 10 years old and raise a minimum of $75 each by event day. The Polar Plunge is a project of the Law Enforcement Torch Run(R) for Special Olympics Missouri. Osage Beach PD is proud to host this event.

Do you have a kiddo at home who would love to be a part of the Polar Plunge?  If so, the Pee Wee Plunge is for them!  This event is open to any child through 9 years of age and will be held on Feb. 23, at the Osage Beach Fire Dept. - Fire House #2 on Hwy KK.  There is a $25 registration fee and each Pee Wee Plunger will receive and official event t-shirt.  If your Plunger decides to go above and beyond with their fundraising, and they raise $100 or more, he/she will receive a fun Polar Plunge prize.  To register, please search for the Pee Wee Plunge team and click "join team".

Plunge doesn't end at the beach this year!  Join us at Tan-Tar-A for the best Plunge After Party from 4 - 7 p.m. This year special guest Kricket Alley will be performing along with the best silent/live auction. Appetizers, 2 drink tickets, entertainment by one of the best bands at the Lake and loads of fun will be free for Polar Plungers and $10 for guests.  Make plans today so you don't miss out on the fun!

Polar Plunge is a family friendly event.  Special Olympics Missouri promotes inclusion as a way of life for not only our athletes but everyone at our events.  We reserve the right to ask anyone to alter/remove their costume if found offensive or harmful to those in attendance.
