James Ross has participated in Special Olympics Missouri events and has played a variety of sports including Bocce, Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Bowling, Athletics and Softball. This will be James’ first time attending USA Games and at the 2018 USA Games he will be competing in Bocce. James favorite moments at a Special Olympics Missouri event is getting to see friends from all over the state and receiving medals. James said that he has a hidden talent with writing poetry and his hero is Ernest Hemmingway because he succeeded in spite of mental illness. James works at the Learning Center in Trenton, MO doing piece work whenever needed. He is looking forward to going to USA Games so he can represent Missouri on the MO Magic team.

I'm so honored to have been selected as a member of Team Missouri. I will be working hard and training during the months leading up to the USA Games. I hope to make you proud! Thank you for your support as I experience the thrill of a lifetime.
